A Strange Mess (Poetry)

A Strange Mess
SCENE (6) COURTYARD BRANDON AND JACK JACK Naked am I fully dressed, for what you see, Are wounds sharply engraved upon scheming the fires of Hell! Cushioned by the sight of Heaven’s gates. Match me my bleak soul? I, who knows of so? Wept in our plight, deceived by one of late Imprisoned and tortured: awaits Heaven’s judge To be free, to glide; to stun the worlds fright Escapes our gushing hearts drooped dry of lust. To lye next, last breath’s shared amongst another, For judgement on the guilt and crime of selfless passion received Is repent of the...

Wept in our plight, deceived by one of late Imprisoned and tortured: awaits Heaven’s judge To be free, to glide; to stun the worlds fright Escapes our gushing hearts drooped dry of lust. To lye next, last breath’s shared amongst another, For judgement on the guilt and crime of selfless passion received Is repent of the individual and a dedication of impulsive means. Cut out my eyes: blind me of sight, singe my ears Swallow my tongue (But wait till said)! Strip me of all limbs. Indeed I’d loose all sense But image lies here and my panting heart speaks, Hears and sees for me. This is the consumption: In which I live in this world for. To visage a dream, to impart admiration and adoration The deep depths of the oceans bosom couldn’t contemplate In War: the softest bow, fires the quickest arrow: Unarmed we’d see neither pair. Troth of love I pledge, whom of...

SCENE (3) GREGORY’S STUDY, JACK, SARAH AND GREGORY JACK Sister! If I missed this I’ll see no fits. Cannot I wish but on for: one’s Stars gift? And on me compliments should there succeed! SARAH Thou gazed upon thy Star not quite a year ago. JACK Then as King’s: bear gifts on Gabriel’s Star. For’t be too close a time, to deny me such warmth. SARAH Not on thee (but on me): all praise forbid? JACK Right! SARAH Brother! Will you not halt? JACK For what I want, I want not but want! SARAH I want you gone. GREGORY...

SARAH Not on thee (but on me): all praise forbid? JACK Right! SARAH Brother! Will you not halt? JACK For what I want, I want not but want! SARAH I want you gone. GREGORY Mumble both but words of ill balladry. Forbidden are we of joyous occasions like these. For Cromwell oversees our times of needs. You both share but one Star. If Sarah gave unto thee her garments, She’d be short a cloth of yet one day old! SARAH/JACK Of course! Sometimes we forget. GREGORY The gent defined: stands not in thy self. The chest deformed tis flat as thy hand. JACK What says my brother? GREGORY Thou not a man but a woo-man! JACK O Gregory! SARAH This here for mine own orientation. Not for the use of thy illusions of his...
